This is a real "wow!" photo that grabbed my attention from the get-go. The composition is very balanced and powerful. People always add an element of interest to a landscape photo, and in this particular case, you have used them extremely well to fill the negative space and lead the viewer's eye into the photo.

Snow scenes are difficult to expose correctly, and you've done a pretty good job here, with only very small areas of clipping. The toning is very pleasing, and you were wise enough to realise that without a sunrise or sunset to provide depth and interest, greyscale is the best way to present a shot like this. The contrast is well-adjusted, and the slight vignetting in the sky also helps to provide depth.
